I am Alexander Minchenko, an engineer and technical writer since 2008. Additionally, I have been teaching languages online individually since 2019.
From my early years on, I needed to communicate in three languages with my relatives (Swedish included). After graduating with a diploma in Applied Linguistics as a dual study program (the first one is Electronics Engineering), my professional journey with languages began, evolving into 18 years of real-world application across international cultures, markets, and frameworks. Since 2014, I have organized in-house training courses for engineers tailored to their personal and professional goals.
On this webpage, I publish updates for my students (see the menu section). Graphema, the name of this site, means a minimal unit of a writing system (in Latin).
I regard any language as a tool, rather than an abstract subject to be learnt. A tool for achieving something meaningful with the help of it, be it working for a company, preparing for study overseas, or reading scientific articles and literary works. I’ve discovered that true communication transcends mere translation — it requires cultural intelligence, a bit of awareness, and the ability to make sense. Exactly like in engineering. So here we are.
